Austria - Dornbirn


The central square called "Marktplatz" is enclosed by many old buildings such as the "Luger-Haus" at the right:

Dornbirn is the largest and busiest city in Vorarlberg. It is an important commercial center and shopping mecca. Dornbirn is located near the borders to Switzerland, Germany and Liechtenstein. It has a population of 43,583. The river Dornbirner Ach flows through the city and later into the Lake of Constance (Bodensee).

Dornbirn é uma cidade da Áustria, no estado federal de Vorarlberg, com cerca 35 000 h. Fica situada nas margens do rio Ache de Dornbirn. Esta cidade é um dos centros da indústria têxtil (em especial do algodão) austríaca. Tem ainda fábricas de construção de maquinaria, indústrias alimentares e de plásticos. É centro de desportos de Inverno.
